Sadie…who?

There is this one thing going right now that makes me deliriously happy. No matter what. It’s Sadie.

“Sadie…who?” you ask.

Have you ever had such a perfect night that you find yourself thinking about it out of the blue and remembering new moments for the first time since the last time? Yeah….that. I have such a crush on this Sadie and the entire story. I love it. And even though I made the whole thing up (I was inspired by fairy tales I love and places I wish I could be tonight), I keep re-remembering parts of it and it renews my excitement.

I find myself reading it over and over. (You are going to want to read your copy over and over, too. But don’t worry about wearing it out….I know where you can get another! :D )

Infomercial aside….there is a point to this post.

After I blogged about my funk, I also remembered how to tweet. And picked up a camera for the first time all week…and instagrammed. I’ve texted. I emailed. And I cried over the sweet comment left on that downer of a post. I plan to use that talking function on my phone tomorrow and maybe even say something out loud to someone. I knew I was going to be okay…

And then the BEST thing happened. Into my inbox popped a little, much-anticipated piece of art. Sadie. In color.

I’m better than okay. I’m exuberant. I’m at a loss for words to describe how important this project feels to me. But just know that it is significant and awesome and I feel blessed to have been the one to get to write it.

In a few days I’ll share all the ways you can keep up with the progress of the book without me going on and on about it here. ( I’ll do that….just there.) But for the moment, I am delighted to officially introduce:
